Please visit this site: http://factoidz.com/experts-get-it-wrong/ read and comment on this Factoid, and consider becoming a member of Factoidz.com: A fast growing, especially cool site for anyone who likes to read and write.

I wanted to bring this idea to the Factoidz community right away. I’ve noticed a recent spike in the page views on one of my factoids that I had written weeks earlier:

More recently, the same phenomenon is occurring on this article by Aratus:

This “Shoot the Moon” idea is a segment of a factoid I recently wrote:

http://factoidz.com/factoidzcom-love-fest-and-tag-suggestion/

Shoot the Moon: This would be another “rationed tag” like expert tags. Members get only one per day. You would tag up an article that you think would have the best chances of getting a ton of traffic. Factoids getting the most STM tags that day or that week, would get submitted to Stumble, Digg, Buzz up, and so on by Factoidz Admin. The Factoidz.com community, whether it was the piece they voted for or not, would all participate in showing the article some affection. Twitter it, Face Book it, etcetera, and vote it up on Digg, and Buzz up. Then of coarse maybe even apply some other less known SEO magical techniques (Sanya and I would kick ass at that!). We would work together to get “mad love” for the best pieces produced by our community. Imagine tens of thousands of hits in a day. Thousands brought to our site from the outside, which will hopefully join our ranks, or hire us for writing gigs, or check out anything else we might be sellin’

I hereby propose to the Factoidz community that we all get behind this factoid written by Aratus:

It is an excellent example of what Factoidz.com writers can offer readers and advertisers. It has already rung up over 160 views as the most viewed today. It has nine Diggs. I’m going to get over to Digg and vote it up. Please follow me and let’s do a beta on this “Shoot the Moon” idea. It could do a lot for everyone if it works.
